LOOK UP: CHASING THE LIGHT WITH MIKE ARNOLD

Join the celebrated fine artist Mike Arnold to discover a new way to view, enjoy and capture the wonder of the Dubai’s architectural landscape just by ‘looking up’. This introduction will show you how to construct a simplistic block perspective that consists of building shapes and forms that are the foundation of Dubai’s built environment. Learn how to explore the ‘seeing light and dark’ creative process, which helps artists to capture the magic of colour and movement of dancing sunlight on the tops and inbetween the unique structures of the city. Bring your imagination and a willingness to change the way you ‘see’. Attendance is free of charge but seating is limited. Open to all ages.

MAKING WAVES WITH ANJA BAMBERG

What do you associate with the theme of water? Participants are invited to become a part of the Sikka exhibition at Tashkeel Al Fahidi. Simply select a handmade paper from the installation and express your thoughts and connection to the topic of water. This can be in the form of a drawing, painting or even a poem. Draw on your memories, experiences and feelings of the sea. Drop-in, dive in and let your imagination run free. Attendance is free of charge but seating is limited. Open to all ages.

EYE SEE YOU WITH VICTOR SITALI

Join Tashkeel member and fine artist Victor Sitali for a one-hour sketching session to capture the human eye. All stories begin in the eye, according to Victor: “It’s always from the eye. It starts right there. And then you start to widen out and see the whole story.” Sit down, relax and draw a human eye using charcoal and paper. Attendance is free of charge but seating is limited. RUG MIRROR TUFTING - SXILL LAB
