Tashkeel’s weekly Sunday Funday moves to Al Fahidi for a special edition! It’s family time in the House 10 Courtyard – build the bonds between parents and children in a series of drawing and painting exercises. During the workshop, families will be encouraged to be playful with colour, composition and materials as they create a whimsical poster that reflects their identity as a family.

Join us for an informal painting session focused on sketching with paint and experiment with how you can incorporate stencil making and masking while creating paint sketches. During the workshop, participants will use collage to enhance playfulness and experimentation in their creative thinking process. Participants are encouraged to bring their sketchbooks and any material that they would like to use in addition to the paint and other materials provided.

SLOW STITCHING WITH NATALYA KONFORTI

Drop-in and join Tashkeel member Natalya Konforti (Glitches and Stitches) for a communal stitching session. Slow Stitching treats needlework as a meditative, stress-relieving practice. Needlework practitioners of all levels and mediums including embroidery, quilting, hand sewing, crochet, cross stitch, punch needle and macramé are invited to stitch together to create a communal banner which will be hung in the Tashkeel Courtyard. A great opportunity to seek advice, swap recommendations, and meet like-minded textile enthusiasts. Attendance is free of charge but seating is limited.
