SOAP MAKING
BY SABOONA
In this hands-on making workshop, participants will learn to repurpose leftovers, herbs and spices as part of a waste conscious soap project. Led by Rouba Shaath, participants will make a soap that is specific to their tastes and needs through the melt and pour soap making process. They will use discarded materials from their homes, dried foods and readily available items as tools and materials in their project. The workshop will include a tutorial, discussion, Q&A as well as individual making time. The workshop is open to all ages; participants below the age of 12 will require an accompanying guardian to help them.

PRINTMAKING PARTY

Join in the fun at the House 10 Courtyard with the Tashkeel team as they show you how to make and take away your own set of handmade prints. Choose from a range of stencil shapes and figures and mix and match using a selection of coloured paints. Pick up new skills, express your creativity and take home your very own artwork. Attendance is free of charge. Open to all ages.

HOW TO MAKE A PINHOLE CAMERA

We will experience the magic of photography and learn about its most fundamental form, we will first learn about the camera obscura phenomenon. Then we will discover the different pinhole cameras examples and proceed to learn how to build a functional camera with everyday materials.
