Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is dedicated to world-leading education and training in the performing and production arts. SPAA will see performers, creatives, and technicians hone their craft while receiving global qualifications, paving the way for a successful future on and off the world stage. SPAA is a centre of excellence – the only Academy in the MENA region dedicated to exclusively training and educating students for the professional performing and production arts. Here at SPAA, everyone is welcome to realise their potential as the new creative citizens of the world.

Acting Workshop

Feb 24, 4PM-5PM (1HR)

Discover your acting talent through improvisation. This group class will explore the art of acting, with voice work and the use of the body as a form of expression, and most importantly for an actor, interacting with other members of the group in a fun and meaningful way.

Ballet Workshop

Feb 25, 4PM-5PM (1HR)

This fun and interactive class will help our young performers learn the fundamentals of ballet.  With a diverse mix of classical music for full appreciation of the classical elements of dance. This class will be taught in a disciplined, engaging, and fun setting. We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabi. We will offer and encourage this ballet class for all children to enjoy.

Meditation/Yoga Flow Workshop
Mar 3, 4PM-5PM (1HR)

This workshop will provide its participants with the opportunity to take a moment to reflect, relax and enjoy stillness. In our very busy lives, it is important to take time, breathe and reconnect with the body. This class is open to anyone who would like to feel the ground through a neutral and enriching setting.

Jazz Workshop
Mar 4, 4PM-5PM (1HR)

This fun, varied form of dance workshop, Modern/Jazz will incorporate different styles from lyrical to funky and technical jazz awareness. A lot of emphasis is given to stretching and strengthening the body and limbering exercises. We will listen to many forms of musical choices to enhance and broaden the students’ knowledge of world dance.
