sculptural jewelry workshop - session 02: traditional jewelry casting
Poras Dhakan &. Eman Shafiq
Sand casting is a method of jewellery making that dates back hundreds of years. Join Poras Dhakan and Eman Shafiq in their second workshop of creating Sculptural Jewelry through digital and historic techniques. The technique involves filling a mould with the clay, using the initial object to make an impression in the clay and then pouring molten silver into the mould. Participants can bring in their old silver jewellery, which can be melted and repurposed into the new objects. If you attended the first workshop of 3-D jewlerry printing, please bring your pieces with you to this workshop!
